How do I add/amend a customer specification?

20 views 0

Each operation to be carried out on a part may require specific intructions laid down by the customer. To refer the operators to the correct instructions, appropriate customer specs may be linked to the route and/or part.

Navigate to Data⇒Quality⇒Customer Spec/Standard

Click New

Fill out the specification details the click Save

Your new specification will now show in the list under Customer Spec on the left of the page.

To amend a customer specification, locate the spec you wish to amend, using the Search function if required, click on the spec.

Make any amendments as necessary and click Save

PDF documents can be added and the specification issue changed on this screen

NOTE – the title of the customer specification can not be amended once saved to maintain traceability. If you discover you need to amend the title of a customer specification, add a note to the description of the existing spec (e.g. superceeded or do not use) and create a new version.

Routes created using the incorrect spec will then have to be corrected.
