What do the different categories mean?

When creating a material using the Data⇒Production⇒Stock page, there is a drop down menu to select the material category. The category options listed can be added to as required.

 

 

The use of categories allows easy analysis of purchase orders placed, spend and stock levels for different parts of the business. These can be created to show the required categories for your company.
