What do the different split reasons mean?

  • Material Shortage – shortage of stock materials (such as masking materials) to enable ompletion of entire order quantity

 

  • Capacity Restriction –  Production did not have the capacity to complete the full order quantity

 

  • Part Batch Return from Subcon – Only part of a batch was returned from subcontractor so only that quantity can be completed

 

  • EBQ – Production processed an economic Batch Quantity rather than the complete order quantity

 

  • Partial Delivery – Only a part of the order is to be delivered – usually at customer’s request

 

  • Internal Reject – Some parts of an Order have been rejected so only the remainder can be completed

 

  • Lost Items – Some parts of an order have been lost so only the remainder can be completed

 

  • Return Subcon – Part of an order that has come back from Subcon has been rejected and has had to be returned to the subbcontractor for rework
