Creating a Template from job creation

If a job is to be created as a template without an existing works order being required, this can be done when creating a works order.

In the New Works Order window enter all the necessary details, it is not mandatory to enter a Delivery Date and Customer Order.  Link the template to an existing part record or if the template is for a new part use the + to add the minimum of detail to a new part record.

Tick the Template tick box, select OK to close the window.

When the works order window opens notice the Order Number has a prefix of TJ, Delivery Date is greyed out and the Status is Template.  Continue to add all relevant details, including all operations, materials, parts, subcon and tooling requirements.  Once saved as a template the Lock button can be used to reduce any unauthorised changes.
