Using a Template for Repeat Works Orders

Having created the template, it’s not always necessary to locate the original template and copy it if there is a link between the template and the part record.

Use the + button to create a new works order, insert the customer and using the search button locate the part to be used in the parts search window.

If the part and template are linked the Templates for this part will appear in the New Works Order window.

If multiple templates have been created for different processes, these can be viewed using the double chevron.  To define the different templates, use the Method within works orders, insert a number in the first field and description in the field adjacent.

If the column for the Method is not visible, it is possible to reposition by dragging the column to the required position.

Highlight the required template and tick Use Template or double click.  Once selected the quantity can be input and all other information relating to the works order.

The works order will now be ready with a job number and set at the applicable status.
