What is the difference between current and available stock?

On the Detail tab of the Data⇒Production⇒Part screen, there are fields labelled Current Stock and Available Stock. These fields are automatically updated by the system and are not available to type in.

 

Current Stock refers to the total number of finished parts that have been delivered into stock rather than delivered to a customer when complete

 

Available Stock refers to the number of finished parts that have been booked into stock, but are not already associated with a customer sales order
