A job cannot be cancelled from the Job screen (Network⇒Production⇒Job) when it is in WIP and is linked to a Sales Order Item – if the Cancel button is pressed, an error message will appear stating the job cannot be cancelled

If a job that has been linked to a Sales Order Item does need to be cancelled, the Sales Order Item has to be cancelled – this will tehn cancel the related Job

Navigate to Network⇒Sales Order Processing⇒Sales Order

Double click on the relevant Sales Order, select the Order Item tab and double click on the Sales Order Item to be cancelled

Press Cancel Item and then,  in the pop-up window, press Yes

The status of the Sales Order Item will now show as cancelled and the related Job will also be cancelled
